The Guatemalan Consular Identification Card is a document approved by the Government of Guatemala. It is only issued to Guatemalan citizens living abroad. The General Consulates of Guatemala and the Consular Section of the Embassy of Guatemala in the United States is issuing this document since August 15, 2002.

The Guatemalan Consular Identification Card is not a travel document neither refers to the migratory status of bearer.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A CONSULAR ID CARD

 • Present your valid passport and one photocopy.

 • Fill out the application which will be given to you when you come to the Consulate. You have to provide the following data:

 • Full name, current address, current telephone number.

 • Delivery address (will be sent by FEDEX or UPS)

 • Applicant signature

 • This process is strictly personal.

 • COST: $ 25.00 in exact cash or money order

 NOTE: The General Consulate of Guatemala in Denver will not be responsible if the delivery address you provide is not correct.
